Yes I know, it is difficult to have a great attitude in our current day. As soon as we turn on the tv or check the internet, it confirms that our world is in desperate need of a Savior. Then having to reflect on personal challenges, can make it difficult to feel thankful. Chin up, loved ones. We must stay focused. Fix our gaze on the one who holds the entire world in His hands yet has His hand on our very circumstances. He is such a vast yet intimate father.
Keeping an attitude of gratitude, no matter your mood is crucial. Life will disappoint, people will offend and circumstances change. In those times when you don’t feel thankful, verbally give God praise for who he is alone. You will watch your attitude change at that moment.
Verbally Thank Him
Thank You Lord for your Faithfulness. For your Kindness. Your Mercies are new every morning. Thank You Lord for your Sacrifice on that cross. and your Unconditional Love.
It’s not about what he will do, it’s about what he has already done. If or if he does not answer those prayers, he is still just as good. That will never change. Don’t hold back from thanking Him in all circumstances. Always remembering, that he really does have our back and is completely trustworthy. He is there in the midst of our pain, disappointments and weaknesses. He is the lover of our souls, the king of the world and the redeemer of our sins.
Let us keep our mind, heart and attitude fixed on His goodness.
I bless God every chance I get;my lungs expand with His praise.” –Psalm 34:1
He is moving on our behalf in every season, in every disappointment, in every blessing, in every valley, and in every mountaintop. He is always holding our hand and His love for us will never fail. What a beautiful promise!
