I just want to share a cool story this week. One that happened yesterday. A couple days ago I was in prayer for an answer from God about a decision I need to make. All day praying and hearing nothing. The next morning, even though I didn’t get that answer, I started worshipping God and thanking Him for who He is and joy came over me. Then I gave Him my day and prayed for divine appointments.
I then hurried out the door to meet a friend for lunch, one I haven’t seen in like a year. She immediately asked me about Family Feud and wanted to know all the details. So as we sat down, I started to tell her. Half way into my story, a mom and her 9 year old daughter sat next to us for their lunch. She then after overhearing us, jumps in the convo, “You were on Family Feud!”
I started to laugh at the boldness (that’s something I would do). I said, “You can scoot over and I’ll tell you the story too.” lol So as I’m sharing the fun deets, she got excited that we’re Christian, then told me she needs a family Photographer, then goes on to say how much her daughter loves my earrings and wants to buy a pair. All this from a stranger sitting at the table next to me. I told her, “This is a divine appointment. There are no accidents. I was supposed to meet you today.”
As I left the restaurant, I was wowed, “God you just amaze me. You have your hand in my every detail.”
You see friends, when you live a life surrendered to God, the “Whatever you want Jesus” life changes everything. Yes, you will have to lean on Him and not your own understanding. You will have to wait longer than you want. You will have to trust when you don’t have answers. You will also have favor that can’t be explained. You will have protection & provision that man can’t provide. You will have God ordained, spontaneous connections that make you feel overjoyed and fulfilled. This is that purpose driven life that every human longs for.
Oh and then driving home I finally get the email we’ve been waiting for from Family Feud, which popped up on my phone. Our air dates have been announced! November 21, 2018 (the day before Thanksgiving) and January 21 & 22nd, 2019. Check your local listings for show times and tune in. You won’t want to miss this one!
