Is it just me or has this year flown by! 2016 where did you go Another year is upon us and I remember thinking that by now we would have flying cars. I was raised in the Jetson era, so that explains it. As I look back and reflect on all God has done this year, I am amazed by His goodness. It has been quite challenging but God is working so many rich things in my heart. He has advanced me in ministry and given me access to people only he could. He has filled me with peace that truly passes all understanding. I feel my “word” for 2017 is New Beginnings.
When you live a life of obedience, he then starts to trust you with His kingdom business. It’s really the only business that matters. I have always been fiercely independent, which was cultivated in me being the oldest of 8 children. Yes, you heard right! I loved Jesus as a young girl but growing up with that independent spirit, kept me from giving up complete control.
Partnership
I look back and I see His hand on my life and His mercy but he held back my greater purpose because I wasn’t ready. You see, God has great plans for your life and he has a greater purpose but it takes You. Without partnership, he can only go so far. It’s like me working a wedding, camera all set and ready but no bride. We are His bride.

He is waiting for you to humble yourself and surrender, “Lord, I’m here before you. Do whatever you need to do in my life to bring you glory.” I know, scary right! That surrender will topsy turvy your life. You’ll go from comfortable, striving for the American dream to uncomfortable. So many think becoming a Christian means a one-way ticket to heaven with eternal security and a mansion. But we were not created get saved, die and go to heaven. He has a specific calling on your life but it’s just that. A calling. We must answer that call.
How will you bring in the New Year? Will you surrender completely? Will you stop striving and choose the uncomfortable perfect plan God has for you? If you do, you can expect Him to show up in amazing ways. I pray you do loved ones. There is no other life worth living.
You are awesome, chosen and full of potential. Take that step and live a life of no regrets.
Happy New Year! Happy New YOU!

This year feels COMPLETELY different for my family and I. I feel like strongholds are breaking and the power of the Holy Spirit is transforming our minds. We say yes to partnering with the Father! We say yes to the calling! We say yes! We say yes!!

Good word Leah. So true. Yeah, it all comes down to truly believing His word, being convinced that our God is for us, and fully entrusting our soul (will) to our faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4: 19
