Merry Christmas loves! I hope Christmas brings you a full heart. Thank you for walking with me on my new blogging journey which began this year. Your comments confirm that I am being obedient to God’s call and it’s so rewarding. Here is to a new year full of adventures of living a life of wonder and expectation.
I know, I usually come across challenging in my blog posts and I love to encourage, but also I love to laugh it up. Those that know me in person, tell me I should do stand up. That is funny in itself.
Recently, at a Christmas bible brunch, the homemade goods were whoa so good. As we sat at the table to dine, one of the ladies shouts out, “don’t worry, Christmas calories don’t count.” When I quickly replied, “tell that to my pants!”
Really, I love farm to table comfort food and a great cup of my morning joe. This makes me happy.
Do you have special Christmas traditions? One of my favorite memories growing up was going to the tree farm every year, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My big, crazy family would pile in our van, drive to the Santa Cruz mountains and chop down our own tree. My mama was very particular on the tree type and smell and no bald, non-smelling tree was considered. This was always a very special family day. As you can guess, this kinda spoiled me with any other precut or fake tree and I hope to continue this tradition.
Hilarious Family Story
One year stands out above the rest. It was the year everyone ran around, convinced they had found the perfect tree. My brother, way too eager, decided to chop one down. It happened to be a tree with a huge bees nest! He woke every bee up and they were furious! They had their little bee eyes targeted on anyone nearby.
All you could hear was screaming, running frantically and family getting stung left and right! I remember standing back and just cracking up, like I was in the middle of a drama scene in a play. Of course, being the family Photographer, I have evidence of every victim. Every sting is documented.
I would love to hear your crazy, funny family memories. Leave a comment below to share.
Have a memorable bee-less Christmas! Bee Blessed!

Funny Leah. I remember that experience. Loved having hot apple cider with the family. I think I was on the top of the hill with Bethany singing… how majestic is Your name, when I heard the commotion. Well…….. He was at least majestic up there.
