Today on the podcast episode, God is my CEO, I welcome fellow Entrepreneur Joyce of MYK Skincare to share what it means to be a kingdom-minded business owner.
We are often influenced by a culture that promotes wealth, self made, girl boss, keys to success and other buzz words. But the eternal kingdom is nothing like this temporary earthly place. We live in a world that defines success according to appearance, numbers, followers, dollars and status.
God’s definition of success is humility, surrender, contentment, service and obedience.
Joyce and I share how God has led us as creative entrepreneurs. We also discuss what it looks like to trust him in a failing economy even with the rising costs of living, when business is slow and the future is unknown. Joyce shares the importance of giving back as a business and being able to bless her country.

Love of Money
Money is necessary in this world to pay bills, build a life, bless others and to build God’s kingdom but it should never be our “why” in life. Money itself is not evil but “the love of money is the root of all evil.” -Timothy 6:10
All you have to do is pay attention to why the demonic agendas are being pushed in our current culture. Always follow the money.
God tells us over and over in scripture that money can be a trap.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” -1 Timothy 6
