The Psalms came as music from David, the man after God’s own heart. He would sing psalms in good and bad times in His life. It was an outpouring of His raw emotion. As I was reading this beloved book of the bible, I felt the Holy Spirit say, “Sing them to me”. I was a bit taken back since this was a new concept.
However, as I verbally, out loud started singing psalm after psalm, my heartfelt joy. It was different than the usual reading to myself. That then led to me singing a new song to Him, from my heart. Not a worship song that has already been done but a fresh outpouring of my love for Him. I couldn’t help but smile as I felt His presence.

There is something so powerful about praying out loud, worshipping, and thanking Him out loud. When someone asks me for prayer, my first response is “let’s pray together now.” There is the authority in having two people come together, in unity, making requests known. Matthew 18:19
Prepare our hearts
Before we come to God with any asking we should start out thanking Him for who he is, then follow with repentance and captivating our thoughts to remove any distractions, so we can clearly hear from Him. 2 Corinthians 10:5
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1
Boldly speak of His wonderful deeds, bringing Him glory.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8
Stay focused on Him and you will not be shaken.
The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace.” Psalm 29:11
He gives us strength and peace that the world cannot offer.
So let us boldly live out loud knowing we hold the hope the world needs and cannot buy. The greatest gift of all.
