How to Win the Spiritual Warfare battle

August 3, 2026 · 2 Comments

You don’t have to live with mental torment, discouragement or the feeling of defeat. We have every tool we need to stop the power of darkness from operating in our lives and our families. The only way the enemy wins the fight, is if we don’t use those tools. I’m going to give you practical ways to win the spiritual warfare battle.

The Fight is Spiritual

First of all, in order to win you have to know your enemy. We often blame other people for the problems we face. You may point the finger at a specific family member or another person for how they acted but the Bible clearly tells us who our adversary is.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” -Ephesians 6:12

Once you understand that you are not actually dealing with people but it’s demonic spirits who seek to divide and destroy, then you can solve the problem.

The Tools You Need

We need to stay armored up. Ephesians 6:10-24 tells us what we need because spiritual warfare is real. The Armor of God keeps us protected from the attacks of the enemy. Studying the Word of God and having a daily prayer life is necessary. You must know and meditate on the Truth of who God is and who he says you are. Prayer purges the flesh and gets your mind right. You must forgive and repent of any way that you are giving the enemy access. Your sin, entertainment, relationships, thoughts, they all matter. You cannot defeat an enemy that you are entertaining.

I often say, the devil is just a mouse with a microphone. He’s loud but he has no real power. The only power he has is the power we allow him to have. He has already been defeated at the cross by King Jesus and we are more than conquerors when we walk in his authority.

But you must know who you are in Christ. You are Victorious. Do you believe?
