Today the Lord gave me this revelation. It is very interesting that this week we reflect on three very significant events, all back to back. These historic days have marked us as believers and as a nation. They are the loss of Charlie Kirk, September 11th and the Ten Days of Awe.
Last year on September 10th, Charlie was assassinated simply for being a truth teller. Yesterday marked the first year of his passing. Then today on September 11th we remember the fallen in what is the 25th Anniversary of a terrorist attack on our nation. I was 25 years old when this tragedy took place and I remember that day vividly. I was working at a Christian radio station, when the televisions lit up with the alarming news. Nothing like that ever happened in my lifetime and it was a time of disbelief and grief. Our nation has never recovered to this day. And now a muslim Mayor has been elected in that very city. Did NYC forget?
Then tonight at sundown, the holiest season on God’s calendar and a new year begins. The Ten Days of Awe starts with Rosh Hashanah and ends with Yom Kippur. This is a time of reflection, prayer and repentance. So here we have these three days in a row, each one representing a very significant event.
How are these three important events connected? I believe that Charlie and September 11th represent a great loss of freedom and the enemy’s goal. The Bible tells us that he is here to steal, kill and destroy. His mission is to target the people of God and our nation which was founded by biblical principles. Why? To stop the earth from being filled with God’s glory.
The Ten Days of Awe is the response needed. God is calling the church to Wake Up, Repent and Stand Up in this hour. We are in a spiritual battle and if the body of Christ doesn’t take its right place, the enemy will continue to take territory. We are called to pray and take action.
I encourage you to get in your prayer closet and seek his face. Search your heart, repent and prepare yourself.
