National Day of Prayer and Repentance

May 7, 2026 · Leave a Comment

Today is the National Day of Prayer and repentance. This is a time to unite as one and prayer for our nation, our families and remember that God is ruler of all. There is no man that can save America. Our only hope for our nation is a turn to God. We must repent, pray and turn from our wicked ways and he will heal our land.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” -2 Chronicles 7:14

We are living in uncertain times with many challenges. This is your opportunity to either stay focused on Christ or the news. One brings peace, the other causes fear. Stay prayed up and walk in your God given authority and you will defeat the enemies attempts to discourage you.

The bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Pray for our nation. Pray for your families. Pray for the wayward one to turn back to God. Pray for the lost to choose salvation in Christ. Pray for repentance, revival and reformation to take place in Jesus name.

There is undeniable power in prayer. I could share countless stories of the results of prayer. We are called to humble ourselves, repent, pray and take a stand. This is the time. This is the hour.

Let’s Pray

Lord, Thank you for your great power. We praise you for your Truth. We’re grateful that you have set us free from the clutching grasp of sin and death.

Be with your people, extend your grace, grant your freedom, provide your protection, and empower us with your strength. We ask that you’d bring about an awakening of your presence to America as never seen before. We ask that your Name be proclaimed, that all plans to silence the Name of Jesus would be thwarted and crushed.

We pray that many would come to know you as Lord and Savior, we pray that many would see your Light, that you would open blind eyes and release those still imprisoned.

We pray that you would unify your people for the glory of your Name, that all who call themselves Christians would rise up, believing your great truth.

Wake us up, Lord! Remind us to live aware, to redeem the time, to listen to your words, to be willing to make a difference in this land. Embolden us to take a stand for righteousness and to unashamedly share the gospel with the lost. Bring the wayward prodigals home. Break off all deception, rebellion and turn hearts back to you.

We pray for all those in authority, that you would give them your wisdom and discernment as they lead. We ask that you would appoint strong, faithful men and women to serve this nation and our people.

We pray for your great healing in America. Shine your face on us dear God. We need you now, more than ever before. Our times are in your hands.

Thank you that you are rich in mercy and full of grace. Thank you that you are forgiving and merciful. Thank you that you are strong and mighty. Thank you that you are for us and that you fight for us still today. Bring honor to your Name, Oh Lord, for You alone are worthy. In your holy name Jesus. Amen

Stay encouraged, Leah
