Friends, let me tell you, the devil is so predictable. He has been operating the same since the beginning of time. And he is sneaky so if you are not walking in spiritual discernment, you won’t see him coming.
We can defeat the enemy’s agenda and win the mental, emotional and physical fight. But the only way we win, is to pick up our swords and fight back in the spirit. Remember, we are in a spiritual battle, not a spiritual spa. We must take action.
Sneaky Snake
I call the devil a sneaky snake. He knows he can’t convince you that God doesn’t exist. So instead, he will have you believe that God isn’t good, then you’ll live like He doesn’t exist.
The enemy has been trying this tactic since the beginning of time. He told Eve that God wasn’t for her and that he was holding back his best. He ended up convincing her that God wasn’t good. The devil won that fight and we are still living with the consequences of the actions of Adam and Eve today.
On the other hand, when the devil went to do the same thing to Jesus as he was fasting 40 days in the desert, he was defeated. The enemy played on Jesus vulnerability, knowing he was hungry, then he tempted him. Matthew 4: 1-11 tells us:
“After fasting forty days and forty nights, Jesus was hungry. The devil, the tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.”
Live Victorious
Both were confronted by the same devil. The same lies. The same tactics. But they had different outcomes. One allowed the enemy to deceive and conquer and one did not and therefore was victorious.

The enemy knows he can’t convince you that God doesn’t exist so instead, he will have you believe that God isn’t good, then you’ll live like He doesn’t exist.”
The enemy will target you with fatigue, mental torment, anxiety, stress, deception, temptation, fear, despair and lies. This emotional roller coaster has one purpose. That goal is to make you feel defeated and to try and separate you from our good God. Sadly, he knows what works and has succeeded by devastating and destroying many believers lives.
Keep in mind, the devil is just a mouse with a microphone. The enemy is loud and intimidating but in reality he is small compared to our God. He has no real power except the power we give him.
Train yourself to hear what God is whispering, not what the enemy is shouting. Believe the truth of who God is, who you are in Christ and his good plans for your life.
