As we celebrate Christmas this year, I want to encourage you that no matter what you are facing, you can lean on Jesus our hope. He is our unwavering anchor.
Jesus came to the earth as our Savior in the humblest of ways, he was born in a dirty stable, in a manger. Even though he is the King of the universe, his grand debut was not in a palace, nor surrounded with privilege. Even the way he began his life is showing that he stoops low to meet us where we are. He is the the greatest yet he cares about every detail of our lives. Nothing is too small for his concern. Jesus is selfless, compassionate and patient with us. He comforts the downcast.
My soul, finds rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” –Psalm 65: 5-8
The New Testament word for “hope” describes a settled confidence in God’s promises, rather than an uncertain “fingers-crossed” hope. We serve a faithful, dependable and good God. He is faithful in every season we are in.
We can all learn from Mary who believed God for the impossible, was obedient in the face of opposition and trusted God every step of the way to giving birth to the promise.
Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”” -Luke 1:45
Some of you have felt defeated, people counted you out, the enemy tried to destroy you, but with God as your defender nothing will stop you. You will thrive in 2025!
Prayer for Hope
I want to pray hope over you. Agree with me in prayer:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the God who has given us all hope through Christ Jesus, who won victory over every need and situation in our lives on the cross.
Lord, I thank You that I was healed of all hurts and disappointments that day, and I stand and receive deliverance from all fear in Jesus’ Name. I know You haven’t given me that spirit of fear, so I rebuke it right now and replace it with a supernatural spirit of expectancy.
Your Word says I am not to fear. So, I am strong and courageous because You are with me, and I can have hope in Your unfailing love.
Today, I release the cares of all past failures, rejections, shortcomings and disappointments to You. Help me not to carry them anymore, but to look forward to the prize You have for me.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my hopes and dreams. I declare now that I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Nothing can stop me from the plan you have for me but my own doubts and fears. So, I bind those up today and cast them into the sea. I lay hold of Your promises and stand on them as I build my hope once again.
Lord, thank you for who you are. Give me fresh vision and hope. Help me to see my situation with your perspective. Overwhelm me with your supernatural joy and expectation for what is ahead. Help me to trust and obey you in every circumstance. Thank you for coming to the earth to save and deliver us. I worship you alone.
Thank You, Father, for the hope that is in Christ Jesus. Amen
Merry Christmas, Leah
