The Lies We Believe
The enemy, the world, the culture and others want to put a label on us and tell us who we are. If what we hear isn’t from the voice of God, it is a lie that we need to combat. We need to captivate our thoughts daily, get into God’s word which is full of truth and declare our identity in Christ.
The Truth – Biblical Affirmations
- I am adopted into God’s Family. (Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:14-19, Galatians 4:5-7, Psalm 27:10 )
- I am a child to the King of Kings. (1 Peter 2:9, Galatians 4:5-7, John 1:12, Romans 8:14-19)
- I know that I am passionately loved as he died for me. (Romans 8:38, Psalm 56:8, Isaiah 43:4)
- In Christ, I am a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Isaiah 43:18-19)
- I am not weary. (Galatians 6:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:13, Matthew 11:28, Psalm 94: 19)
- He says that I can do all things through Christ. (Philippians 4:13, Deut. 20:4, 1 Corinthians 15:57)
- I am a masterpiece and remarkably made by God. (Psalm 139:14, Psalm 139:1-24, Genesis 1:27)
- I am extraordinary. (Ephesians 2:10, Genesis 1:27)
- God is my Provider. (Matthew 6:30-35, 2 Peter 1:3, Deuteronomy 20:4)
- I am valuable. (1 Peter 1:18-19, John 3:16, Psalm 56:8)
- God has hand-picked me and I am chosen. (John 15:16, 1 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 1: 4)
WHO GOD SAYS I AM…
- I am courageous. (Deuteronomy 31:6, 2 Timothy 1:7)
- I am a conqueror. (Romans 8:37, Deuteronomy 20:4, 1 Corinthians 15:57)
- With him I am strong. (Deuteronomy 31:6, Psalm 138:3, Isaiah 40:30-31, 2 Corinthians 12: 10)
- By Jesus’ blood, I am forgiven. (1 John 1:9, Ephesians 1:7, Colossians 3:13)
- I am blameless. (Ephesians 1:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
- I am fearless. (2 Timothy 1:7, Psalm 23: 4, Psalm 56:3-4)
- The truth is I am blessed by Christ. (Ephesians 1:3, Matthew 5:1-48, 3 John 1:2)
- I am righteous. (Romains 1:5, 2 Corinthians 5:21)
- I am pure. (1 John 3:3,1 Peter 1:22)
- He says I am patient. (1 Corinthians 13:4, Galatians 6:9)
- I am kind. (Colossians 3:12, 1 Corinthians 13:4-5)
- I am covered in God’s armor. (Ephesians 6:10-18, Psalm 18:2)
- The bible says I am wrapped in God’s arms. (Psalm 91:4 TPT, Isaiah 25:4)
- I am heard by God and my voice matters. (Psalm 116:1-2, 1 John 3:22)
- I am enough. (2 Peter 1:3, 2 Corinthian 3:5, Colossians 2:10)
- and I am not alone. (Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 54:10, Psalm 48:14, Psalm 46: 1-2)
- I am healed. (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5, Psalm 147:3)
