The Joy of Obedience

March 3, 2022 · Leave a Comment

The latest podcast episode, The Joy of Obedience will give you supernatural perspective when it comes to obeying God. You might not think that joy and obedience go hand in hand, but they do. Tune in as I welcome special guest, Sherika Chew of Well Ministries. This teaching gives revelation on obedience that pleases God which is the key to living your best life.

History Tell Us

Throughout the Bible, God could not be any clearer on this point: He blesses for obedience and curses for disobedience.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28 encapsulate this principle: “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from them.”

Everyone wants to be blessed. But not as many want to obey. Even fewer understand what kind of obedience God expects.

Obedience that Pleases God

Obedience that pleases God requires full surrender, no matter the cost. It’s the “whatever you want Lord, I’m yours” life. Not the common mindset which is, as long as I keep the 10 commandments, then I’m good.

God oftentimes will require us to give up or walk away from things and people that are not necessarily bad or sinful because his goal is to remove anything that keeps us from a right relationship with him. He wants us to live in our true purpose.

Lies we Believe

The tired lie that satan, our enemy loves to tell us is that “obedience will make you miserable.” He has been spreading this lie since the beginning of time when Adam took of the forbidden fruit. So many people still believe this lie today. We need to captivate our thoughts and believe the truth.

The Joy of Obedience

The truth is that true obedience brings us supernatural peace, joy, purpose and protection. The world can’t give it and the world can’t take it away. Like I always say, Favor Follows Radical Obedience. We are now living examples of what it looks like to live this way.

Favor Follows Radical Obedience.”
