Captivate your Thoughts

May 6, 2021 · 2 Comments

Do you know how powerful your thought life is? Every positive or negative action played out, started with a single thought.

The reason the enemy targets our mind most of all is that he knows that if he can control our minds then he can control our lives. We must stay aware and on guard of his schemes for his purpose on this earth is to steal, kill and destroy and he starts with the mind.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” -Romans 12:2

The enemy wants to fill our minds with lies, negativity or even time-wasting distractions in order to keep us from freedom and ultimately our purpose. Once we understand how powerful our thoughts and words are then we can be aware and take the necessary steps to captivate them. We must arm ourselves in order to disarm the enemy.

If the enemy can control your mind then he can control your life.”

The good news is that God always gives us a way out.

Mental health

Game Changer

In the past, I allowed the enemy to keep me stuck and overwhelm my mind. Then one day God gave me a powerful tool to break free. 2 Corinthians 10:5 has become one of the most important life verses that I apply every day. He began to show me to speak these words over my mind every morning and anytime throughout the day a thought that is not Christ centered enters my mind.

I demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and I take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” -2 Cor. 10:5

Of course, this tool isn’t a magic wand. If you are filling your mind with garbage, things of the world, living in sin or carrying offense in your heart then you need to get that right first. But if you are dealing with negativity, lies or constant distraction than there is a way to trade it for peace.

Tune in to one of the most life-changing messages in this week’s podcast, Captivate your Thoughts. I also share a powerful revelation of Accusations and Silencing the Accuser. You don’t want to miss this.

This is good. It’s difficult to prevent destructive thoughts from entering my mind. The verse you provide might be just what I need to block these thoughts and move my eyes toward Jesus instead. Thanks!
