One of the very first posts God had me write back in 2016, was Identity Crisis, sharing the story of Leah in the bible and who she really was. Tune in to this week’s podcast episode Identity Crisis • the podcast, as I speak on that great revelation.
Truth Bomb
When God started to show me the truth, my mind was blown. When you hear the story of Leah preached or spoken of, it’s in a bad light. You often hear that she was weak eyed, as if she could not see, weary, unloved, forsaken, and rejected. But God has come to pull off the blinders that the enemy uses so we would see + believe the truth.
He has come to set the captives free.” – Isaiah 61:1
Listen to today’s short message, as I reveal the truth of Leah and you’ll never see her the same. I’m telling you once God reveals who we really are and we take hold of it for ourselves, we are never the same.
We are who God says we are. Whatever you believe about yourself, if it doesn’t line up with who God says you are, then it’s a lie. Meant to keep us bound, limping, broken and living in half capacity.
Talk Back
When the lies come, the ones you’ve believed about yourself ugly, stupid, worthless, purposeless, failure, dumb, a mistake, forgotten, unloved take those thoughts captive.
We have the authority + power in Christ, to stop in that moment and break off every lie. Allow Him to transform your mind and think on new thoughts based on God’s truth.
In order for you to recognize lies, you must know the truth.”
So, speak out loud who God says you are. Encourage yourself in Him. Build yourself up. Tell yourself the opposite of all the lies you’re hearing. The more you practice, the more power confident you’ll become, and believing the truth over the lies.
