Hard to believe that next week starts the beginning of a new year. When I think of the meaning of new, it puts a smile on my face. It gives hope for new beginnings with new adventures and new growth.
Behold, I am making everything new.” – Rev. 21:5
I’m grateful for every year because I know nothing is wasted, no matter the season you’re in. That is the hopeful assurance for those truly surrendered. Even in the challenge, there is growth. The wait produces perseverance. The surrender cultivates trust. Our perfect Lord has designed our timeline, moment by moment and He is always faithful.
Highlights of 2018
The great Rev. Billy Graham passed on and what a day that was. I challenged myself physically with hiking 7 miles to reach Pilot mountain and who can forget our Family Feud experience.
I started a woman’s bible study. I’m finishing up my near two-month visit to California for the holidays. I’ve also learned two new languages this year: Real Estate & Investing. Can anyone say adulting?
I’ve attended a few friend’s weddings along with photographing others. I celebrated a year of my new business Hooked on You co. where I design soft, lightweight leather earrings.
How can you recount Gods faithfulness in your life this year Do you see growth
These are the vital questions I ask myself. His plan is so much greater and we can miss out if we don’t stay focused.
Let’s begin 2019 by dedicating the new year to Him. May our heart’s desire be to seek His glory while pursuing the specific calling on our lives.
Thank you to my readers. God’s purpose for Lens of Faith is being fulfilled. I hope to continue blogging each week as the Holy Spirit leads. Happy New Year!
