Have you ever just sat in silence and was wowed by God’s steadfastness? I mean to really look back on your life and be reminded of His faithfulness? In every valley and hilltop, you can remember how He never left your side.
We’ve lost friends, companions, and treasures along the way but our Lord has been our one true north. Isaiah 25 tells us that God is more than faithful but that He is perfect in His faithfulness.
Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.” – Isaiah 25:1
As I pen this now, the Lord is reminding me a couple years ago when He clearly told me,
You are faithful because I am faithful. You are pure because I am pure.”
Everything good in me is because of who He is. Without Him, we are not naturally good. Never pride yourself in yourself. Stay in humble acknowledgment for all that is good in us is credited to His perfect faithfulness.
He has written our whole life story and has transcribed every detail of our timeline. The marvelous and not so marvelous things in our lives have been planned long ago. Nothing is chance or accident for those that live surrendered.
Test me, Lord, and try me,examine my heart and my mind; for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.” – Psalm 26:2-3
We praise and exalt His name for He is our refuge and He is the definition of perfect faithfulness.
Let’s pray
“Lord, in this busy season, still my heart so that I might pause and reflect on your perfect faithfulness. I will praise you in all circumstances for I know you hold every detail with loving care. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.”
