You know how it starts. First, you watch one thing, that leads to another, then another, next thing you know it’s 1 am. Or is it just me haha This happened a few days ago. I was watching this testimony on I Am Second. This man and His wife adopted five foster children in bad situations and their story is amazing. He mentioned being a contestant on America’s Got Talent.
Then, of course, I googled Him. Which led me to discover he’s a worship leader with an amazing voice. Then I YouTubed his audition and was blown away. I became an instant fan of Michael Ketterer.
Is there anyone else like me that loves these shows where others’ dreams come true? My favorite is The Voice. I’ve been a fan since day one. You’ll catch me crying when the contestants get chosen, it must be the artist in me. I know what it’s like to chase dreams, as a creative.
Better Plan
So he makes it to the finals and is everyone’s favorite. Five contestants left standing and only one will win. I was praying he would win because he has the biggest heart and the money would really help His family. But I was taken by surprise that he didn’t win.
But as he walked off the stage last night with a huge smile on His face, I said to myself, “that’s what it’s like to be surrendered to God.” You know in your heart that He has a perfect plan. A reason. A better way. Nothing is an accident. It’s not that winning isn’t a disappointment but you never really lose with God by your side.
Remember, God has your back. He has the perfect plan. The perfect timing. Have joy in the outcome, whatever it may be. For if your ear is sensitive to His direction and you are living the obedient life than you’ll always leave the stage a winner.
