After years of being asked for my health and beauty secrets, I thought today would be a good day to share with my readers as well. These are the key health choices that have changed my life. God doesn’t require us to just keep our heart spiritually healthy but also our bodies.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Cor. 6:19-20
Let’s begin the moment you wake up with good ol’ H2O. When you sleep your body and skin dehydrate. Even before drinking that necessary cup of coffee ha, drink 1-2 glasses of water.
For breakfast, I usually eat a piece of Ezekiel bread which is hearty and keeps me satisfied until lunch. I don’t buy sugar cereal or anything in a box that is processed. Sugar is a killer and more dangerous than you might know. I replace what I can with Local Raw Honey or Stevia.
Also cutting out fast food and soda now for over 10 yrs., has caused significant change to my health and skin. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good bacon cheeseburger and a home-baked cookie. However, keep it as a treat and not your normal diet.
Next is the regimen that I can’t keep silent on. Which is the great importance of sunblock with zinc. Every season. Every morning. Not only does it protect you from skin cancer but prevents aging. Even if your foundation has spf, it is mostly too little or not potent enough.
A less important tip but still worth mentioning is how I keep my hair healthy & strong. Well for starters, I don’t wash my hair for 3-4 days. This prevents stripping your hair of natural oils and hair loss caused by washing. Also if you blow-dry, only partially dry to prevent damage.
