STRONG & COURAGEOUS

Do you ever sit back in amazement of God’s promises? I mean in a world of uncertainty, we have such certainty. From Genesis to Revelation he gives us constant assurance of the great God we serve. He is the ruler of the universe, yet he is working in every detail of our lives.

One of my favorite promises is the fact that no matter what we face, he will never leave us or forsake us. It’s true that people will walk out of your life but he is your partner for life. Let us just pause a moment and thank Him for His great faithfulness. Thank You Jesus!

Be Strong and Courageous. Do not be afraid. For the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” –Deut. 31:6

Throughout His book of promises, he repeats over and over to be strong and courageous. In Joshua alone, in just one chapter, you see several times God repeated this instruction. It wasn’t an option. Life will seem overwhelming at times. We know this. Are we supposed to do as we’re told and “buck up” in our own strength? Not so. God is telling us that he always has our back. It might look impossible. It might seem overwhelming. The enemy tries to make us doubt that he is there but he always is. Do not be afraid.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trust is the Key

Courage doesn’t mean you don’t run into fearful circumstances. It means you do run into fearful circumstances, but you do it with confidence in who Christ is. You do it with resolution. It is a command that God gives us to trust in Him, it’s not an option. God didn’t say to Joshua, I hope you will be strong and courageous. I hope you won’t be frightened. God says, “Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous.”

Be brave loved ones. He is fighting our battles, every single one. All we need to do is trust our great defender. Trust is the key. Giving up fear, control and anxiety to Him is our choice.

For I am the Lord your Godwho takes hold of your right handand says to you, Do not fear;I will help you.” – Isaiah 41:13

We can’t survive on girl power. We need God’s power.
