We all woke up to the same alarming news this week, that Iran was attacked. After 47 years of islamic oppression, the evil leader was taken out and the Iranian people are now rejoicing. What’s next? We need to now pray for Iran, Israel and revival. We also need to pray for our troops.
The liberation of Iran begins. The harvest is plentiful. The persecuted church arises. This is also very significant timing with the celebration of Purim.

A Long and Complicated History
Purim is a time of celebration, a biblical Jewish festival that commemorates Queen Esther and the saving of the Jewish people from a genocide plot by Haman in ancient Persia, as told in the Book of Esther. The events described in Esther mark a key moment in the long, complex history of relations between Israel and what today is Iran. Both sides know that history is a mixed record, marked by periods of close friendship as well as times of open hostility.
In the instance of Cyrus, this benevolent Persian monarch gave the exiled Jews a royal permit to return to Jerusalem and begin rebuilding their Temple. He even donated some of his own funds for the task.
There also were good relations between Israel and Iran during the reign of the former Shah. He even had the book of Esther read in Iranian public schools at Purim to celebrate the positive side of the historic links between the two peoples.
The current clerical regime, however, is dead set on accentuating only the negative side, as reflected in those times when Persian courtiers sought the complete annihilation of the Jewish people. They did so by conjuring up plots to deceive various kings into unknowingly signing death warrants against a people they actually admired.
We are watching biblical prophecy unfold and are living in unprecedented times.
Above the missiles.
Above the politics.
Above the speculation.
There is still a throne in heaven and Jesus is still seated on it.
KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS.
How to Pray
Pray for the Iranian people and for revival to sweep over the middle east. That many would turn to faith in Jesus Christ and be free to worship. Pray for our troops as they go to . Pray that our President will lead with discernment, wisdom and humility. Pray that God’s perfect will be done in this hour. Pray for a swift resolution.
Fear not, Leah
