I have been asked this important question regarding knowing God’s will. How do I know that I’m in God’s perfect will for my life? Well, there are a few certain signs that will bring you needed confirmation. I call them the triple P’s.
The Triple P’s
God will give you supernatural Peace. Protection. Preservation. when you are aligned with his call and assignment on your life. I share a bit about this here:
PEACE
When you are in God’s will, he gives you Peace. It is peace that passes understanding. The enemy can’t give it or take it away. Striving, stress and anxiety are signs that you are not in God’s will. This doesn’t mean that you won’t need to partner and work alongside the Lord and it doesn’t mean it is always easy, but he helps you carry the load and gives you Peace.
PROVISION
God never orders something that he doesn’t pay for. When God gives you an assignment, he always provides exactly what you need to finish the task. Trust him. He has more resources than all the men in this world combined. Favor follows radical obedience. You can count on his Provision.
God never orders something that he doesn’t pay for.”
PRESERVATION
God will preserve those that are faithful, obedient and surrendered to him. He keeps your health in tact, along with your youthfulness, energy and stamina. President Trump is a great example of this. The man is almost 80 years old. He also doesn’t take great care of his body (it’s a known fact that he lives off McDonalds, milky ways, Coke and doesn’t drink water.) He sleeps only 2-4 hours a night, he wakes up early and goes to bed late. His day is full of rallies, meetings and endless commitments but still at the end of the day, he has a great attitude and is still full of energy. There are young members who travel with him who are in their twenties, still they can barely keep up. People call him a “machine” and a ‘beast”. But there is nothing natural about it. God has an epic assignment for him to complete that requires Preservation.
Favor follows radical obedience.”
Even though I have been a Christian most of my life, there have been times that I did a good thing but it wasn’t a God thing. I thank God for his mercy and his grace which has helped rescue me from certain situations. But discerning his will beforehand will save you from unnecessary heartache, stress and even wasted time and finances. There are consequences to our actions, whether good or bad. Knowing and obeying God’s will is so needed friends.
