Recently, I met two amazing like minded men at a convention, who happen to be father and son. Allen Mashburn is a Pastor who is now running for Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina. Zack Mashburn is taking his generation by storm by standing up for truth in a compromising culture.

Rise Up

Our American culture is becoming increasingly wicked and flat out ridiculous. What would of been  unthinkable just a few short years ago is now being pushed so extremely with the goal to become the new norm.

I believe God is currently shaking up the church for such a time as this. He is calling the sleepy and the comfortable to arise and be who He has called us to be. This next season will not be for the casual but for the committed.

We must be bold in the face of evil. We must know the word of God and stand by its truths in a culture that is calling evil good and good evil.

Taking Ground

The enemy has taken so much ground because the church has mainly stayed silent, just waiting for Jesus to return and take care of it all. Pastors are more worried about pleasing their congregation and staying financially secure than standing up for righteousness and truth.

Meanwhile, the devil is publicly mocking God by chanting that he is “coming after our children” as was in the recent news at a pride parade.

Fear of man will keep you silent. But when we are suited up with the full Armor of God, we become unafraid knowing that God goes before us. We must do something. Say something. Post something. We all have a role to play.
