What a trying time, don’t you agree? We hear about similar health pandemics in other countries, but America seems for the most part protected. Yet here we are, closed in our homes, cut off from social contact and little food or essentials on the store shelves. It can make people hoard, anxious, worried and live in fear.
Our Hope
But it’s in uncertain times that we lean on a God that’s certain. To hold on close and trust Him. We are the difference to a worried nation and the light in the darkness. We must profess His goodness when things don’t seem good.
Perspective in Crisis
This alone time can be a blessing in disguise. Many things are when we follow Jesus. This season forces us to be still. In this time we can lean in, pray, sit and listen, read those books we put off and spend quality time with loved ones we share space with. This might be the greatest days of our lives. Who knows what God can birth through us in isolation.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” -Psalm 46:1
I was caught up binge-watching the series, The Chosen this week. There were many emotional scenes and I was thanking Jesus for His goodness throughout the show. He is still the same God that healed the leper and wiped Mary’s tears. He is truly unwavering throughout generations.
We must profess His goodness when things don’t seem good.”
Let’s Pray:
“Lord, protect those in harm’s way during this time and dismantle this virus. I come against all fear in the name of Jesus. You are in control. I trust you in uncertainty and will take advantage of this time to sit at your feet. Amen.”
