Happy New Year friends! It’s hard to believe we are in a new decade and in the twenties. I thought we would have Jetson like flying cars by now, ha right.
I rang in the new decade in such an unforgettable way with two of my sisters at the Jesus 19′ conference in Orlando. We went very expectant and ready for all God had for us. I’ve been to many amazing conferences in my life, growing up a church girl but this was different.
A few months ago while watching a 10 second promo that popped up on fb, my spirit lept. I instantly knew I was supposed to be there. When I shared the promo with my sister, I didn’t expect her to jump on board seeing that she’s in Ca, a mom of four and it was right after Christmas. She then tells me that she actually attended two years ago and it was the most powerful conference she has ever attended.
She was right. It wasn’t due to a great word or message. It wasn’t due to the famous and anointed speakers. And there was very little prophecy that took place. Instead, everything was centered around the pursuit of Jesus. Just Jesus. Sit at the feet of Jesus. Fall in love with His presence. Beckoning us to lay down lesser things, all those distractions and return to our first love.
When we are immersed with Him alone, He takes care of all those minor things in our life. He fills us privately to go out publicly and love the lost. He opens supernatural doors. Jesus restores joy and breaks off strongholds. But most importantly He completely has our heart and gaze. His presence is the reward. He alone satisfies and is the promise fulfilled.
