Happy New Year! As I was spending time with Jesus today, he gave me some New Years encouragement to share with you. Keep your heart tender and your armor on as you enter 2024!
The Good Fight
I know many of you can relate, it has been a long season of battles. The enemy wants nothing more than for us to give in and give up as he attacks us with lies, disappointment and weariness. But our fight is not in vain friends. God is preparing us for victory.
I have shared this with you before, but a few years ago God told me that we are entering an exposing season. And wow have we ever. We have seen so much dark come to light in government, entertainment and even with those behind the pulpit. 2024 will bring even more exposure.
God has called us as kingdom warriors to be bold and to stand up for righteousness in these dark days. He has also called us to draw close to him in intimacy and to share his love for the world.
Keep a Tender Heart
Fighting the good fight can harden our hearts over time if we don’t stay laser focused on the way, the truth and the life. We must be rooted in the truth as we spend time in the bible daily and stay suited up with the Armor of God in place. Ephesians 6:10 The good news is, we don’t fight alone. The Lord is our deliverer and he goes before us. The more time we spend in our secret place, the stronger we become. He gives us new grace every morning.
He wants us to keep our joy, peace and hope as we stand firm in our faith. The only way that is possible is if we stay close to the vine.
I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I to you, you will produce plenty of fruit. But separated from me you won’t be able to do anything.” – John 15
We have an assignment to complete and we cannot do it alone. Stay close to the vine.
Allow God to remove the sting of disappointment from 2023 so you can walk into 2024 with hope and joy, ready to receive what God has for you.
