Friends, I know the world is crazy right now. They are calling good, evil and evil good. If you are a Christian conservative you may be feeling discouraged. You may be dealing with other life challenges. But God gave me a word of encouragement for you today. With God on your side, you are more than conquerors.
If God is for us, who can be against us? Nobody.” -romans 8:31
A MOUSE WITH A MICROPHONE
Like I always say, the devil is just a mouse with a microphone. He is loud and intimidating but really the only power he has is the power you give him. When the lion walks into the room, the mice scatter.
When you know your true identity in Christ and that we don’t fight flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), than the haters, the bad news, the attacks on your mind have no control.
The enemy can’t shut up a child of God who is confident in their identity and calling.
FACING YOUR GIANTS
You might feel defeated, you might believe that problem, that voice, that health report is too big for you to handle and it will win. You are right, it is too much on your own, that is why we need to know and believe in the God we follow.
David faced a giant, Goliath, whom was over 9 feet tall, experienced in battle, had the best of weapons and was full of pride in himself. David however, was a young boy, a sheepherder, without weapons or experience. From the natural point of view, it looked foolish for David to face his giant.
However, David had full confidence in Christ. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God was with him and would supernaturally help him defeat his enemy. David said to Goliath,
You come against me with weapons, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” -1 Samuel 17
Goliath mocked David, but David had the last laugh.
Friends, what is the giant you are facing in your life today? Speak to it. Have confidence that God is for you, not against you and he alone is mighty to save.
LET’S PRAY:
“Lord, I break off any spirit of fear, intimidation, and anxiety from the enemy, in Jesus name. Captivate my thoughts. Give me confidence in you and supernatural perspective, insight and discernment in all areas of my life. I want to walk in confidence with authority knowing that I am more than a conqueror in Christ. Amen.”
We are more than conquerors!
Be Encouraged, Leah
