Yesterday was my birthday…whoop! Well today while reflecting on God’s goodness, He has given me such a deeper revelation that He truly is that best friend I long for.
You see, I have always been the true friend that you hope for. The one you can count on. When I lived in California, my friends filled the room for my birthday, knowing that I like a party. But the last couple years, it’s been different and God told me, “I want to be the best friend you long for.”
Then He started to show up like only a best friend can. When I felt discouraged becuase those I had invited forgot my birthday or had more important things come up, He filled me with joy. When I questioned my significance, He opened up doors of favor.
He spoke so sweetly to me, “I’m going to be your birthday gift.”
He has been showing me more and more that He is everything. Everything we look for in a relationship is waiting for us. He has been drawing me to a more intimate place with Him then I have ever known.
The morning of my birthday, I went to a vision board ladies connect at church. We had our first one a couple years ago and I remember going all out. Cutting out tons of pictures from magazines, words, happily filling up the boards with hopes and dreams.
I had the house, the man, travel, business and on. But this year, I felt disconnected to the whole thing. I really just wanted to put one thing on the board. And I knew it would never be found in a magazine. My drive for 2020 and beyond is to SIT AT THE FEET OF JESUS.
You see He takes care of the things. We should be asking Him, “What do you want from me this year”
Thank you Jesus for knowing exactly what I need. You never dissapoint.
