Eliminate the Middleman

August 26, 2020 · 1 Comment

As I was praying about what God wanted me to blog + podcast this week, he reminded me of a powerful revelation he gave me years back.

Closer and Closer

Everyone that knows me, knows my love for Trader Joe’s. I’m always reppin’. Not only do they carry innovative, hard-to-find, great-tasting foods, but it’s also cost-friendly. Early on, I was amazed by how they were able to become so successful. I mean no matter where I go, coast to coast, the store is always packed with excited shoppers. I then discovered, what sets them apart. Check out the podcast for the full story.

There are so many amazing, anointed men and women of God who minister to us and boldly make Jesus known. God speaks to us through them and draws us in. I love turning on that powerful worship song that lifts your spirit or diving into a great devotional. But there comes a time when God requires a direct connection. One that doesn’t need a conduit. We must eliminate the middleman.

No middle man

We don’t need the perfect song, the perfect sermon or our favorite conference to tap into His presence. He calls us to press in, to cultivate a solid relationship with Him that is not based on human anointing but His power alone. We can only obtain this by spending undistracted quiet time, pressing in and seeking His face. Sometimes we need to turn off the worship music, close the devotional, leave your phone in another room on silent, and sit at Jesus’ feet-just to hear Him.

Be Intentional

Trust me, I know the struggle is real. I have always been one that gets easily distracted. It’s the enemy’s ploy to keep us distracted. Do you ever notice that you can watch a 4-hour movie, completely captivated but after 10 minutes reading your word you feel sleepy? mhmm. You have to fight distraction off. You have to be intentional. I personally, turn my phone off and leave it in a different room. Whatever it takes. Your soul depends on it.

Let me start out by saying that the Save America M Let me start out by saying that the Save America March was a peaceful display of unity with millions of Patriots standing together as one. No drama. Then after President Trump left the rally at the end of the day, he encouraged us to walk over to the capital building to support our congress men and women peacefully. We all in good spirits did so. Then after some time, I look up to see a small cluster (in comparison to the entire crowd) on the Capital balconies. Then we heard chaos erupt, it may of been antifa or fed up patriots, not sure. I then knew it was time to leave and head back home. Don’t put your trust in the media friends. That is why God calls us to discernment more now than ever. Also, it was a highlight of my day getting to meet a couple of my favorite Freedom Fighters @davidjharrisjr @madisoncawthorn @terrencekwilliams Keep praying that God will heal our land and trust him alone. God is bigger than our fears and the enemy. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

N E W Y E A R // As I was praying for God’s cla N E W Y E A R // As I was praying for God’s clarity as we start the new year, he made his hearts desire clear. DRAW NEAR TO ME. You see friends, so many voices are trying to convince us how to think. So many emotions are flaring up. But it’s the intimacy that brings clarity, discernment, peace and the uncompromising boldness that we need now more than ever. Without it we will be deceived and easily shaken. Truth is brought to light in adversity. God is revealing who is choosing fear of man vs. fear of God. He’s calling us forth for such a time as this. He is searching for a holy people, humble, set apart and uncompromising with pure hearts. We must draw near to him so we can become like him. I want to be a carrier of his presence to a world in need of hope. More bible, less books.
More prayer, less social media.
More refinement, less compromise.
Less of me, more of you Jesus. Happy New Year! Your best days are ahead. 🎉💙
