Eekk I have all the feels.. nervous but super pumped.

Can you believe that this is the 4th year as author of the Lens of Faith blog? Hard for me too, wow does time fly. It’s been such an honor to walk this faith journey together. And to have the Holy Spirit speak big to my heart as I sit and deliver His messages every week.

So back in October, after speaking at an event, I had women come up to me and ask, “Would you start a podcast!? We really want to listen to your podcast.” I was like whaa? That was also my reaction when God told me to start the blog, which is funny.

So I started praying about it, to see if it was a good thing or a God thing. Then I kinda put it in the back of my mind as I traveled to California for a month. The holidays, my sister’s wedding and then hosting family then more traveling. So really I didn’t catch my breath until mid January.

Then He started putting the right people in front of me to give me the tools needed, along with many youtube videos since I’m learning a whole new craft. Lastly, after some help from a couple of friends that do sound, I started recording my intro. But then…

Not About Me

After spending all day learning the editing software and with the final cut of my intro, I somehow permanently deleted the files. Yes, I know! Frantically I downloaded 3 different professional recovery software programs, but nothing. They even recovered files from years ago, but my most recent deletion was not found and I was becoming frustrated.

Suddenly, God convicted me big. He said,

It’s not about you and being perfect. It’s about me and my power. You can do nothing apart from me”

Welp. Nothing like a Holy Spirit truth bomb. So I humbly repented, got my attitude and heart right. Next thing you know, he started lining up guests, topics, creative ideas..it all started flowing.

This is my heart’s motive just as it is for the blog, to be sensitive to His spirit, His conviction, and His message.
