As I landed in Cali this week, my first stop was spending time with my nieces. My next stop was visiting my friend’s young son. Being surrounded by children and that innocence is so sweet. And although every child is different they all have these same traits in common.
They trust their parents and fully depend on them to meet every need. Without question or doubt. They are full of wonder. Furthermore, they easily believe in the supernatural without needing convincing.
The humble, faith of children is what the Lord loves and requires in all of us as children of God.
And calling to Him a child, He put Him in the midst of them and said, Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles Himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” –Matthew 18:2-6
When children see or hear the supernatural they are quick to believe its true without a doubt. They don’t need to research it, ask for an opinion or pray about it to fully believe.
Along the way, after disappointments, we grow up with different mindsets. We see God differently. But He has never changed instead we have.
He wants to free us, break chains, and set captives free. He is waiting for us to surrender and rely on Him completely without hesitation. To call on Him in not just difficult situations but in everything. He truly is a good, good father.
Lets Pray:
“Lord, Thank you for your revelation. Return me to the innocence of a child. Give me the faith, trust, and expectation as in my youth. I want to come to you, lean on you, believe in you, and move when you ask. There is none like you. Keep my heart right and free of anything that would keep me from a child-like faith. Amen.”
