I know what your thinking but not fat as in too many burgers and shakes, trust me on that ha but fat as in Faithful Available Teachable. I remember watching Billy Graham’s funeral live earlier this year and His son spoke up saying he was FAT. This was a man like no other, faithful, free of scandal and safe in God’s will. I remember thinking, I love that and I hope to be FAT too.
This week has been powerful as I headed to California for the conference Red X at Redemption San Jose church. We started off by having T.D. Jakes speak powerfully on breakthrough.
The next evening we had Samuel Rodriguez speak with passion for being paralyzed by pain and God’s great deliverance. He also had with Him as His illustration, the only boy has scientifically proven in modern America to come back to life.
This teenager fell in shallow ice and was dead for an hour. His mom came to the hospital and said, Holy Spirit bring my son back to life! Immediately the machines started back up and he came back to life! Completely restored to who he was. Miraculous. God still resurrects the physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally dead.
God is always speaking. Always moving. It not about a good man but a great God. He is searching the earth for those who are willing to sacrifice and make Him known.
We must stay Faithful. Available. Teachable. Faithful, not swayed by others. Available, ready to move when He calls. Teachable, having a pure and humble heart.
Let’s pray
“Lord we want to be pleasing to you. Change our hearts where we desire your will above all. To stay faithful, available and teachable. Amen.”
Amen Leah. When you put it that way, I want to be fat ( spiritually ). I just want to lose
the weight and the sin which does so easily besets us. Hebrews 12 : 1 KJV
The Message Version says….No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sin.
