Sometimes it can feel discouraging when those closest to you doubt what you know God made clear in your life. Even though you’ve shared only God, supernatural encounters along the way. You’ll hear reasons such as, “He never told me. He never confirmed with me.” But the truth is He has. He shows Himself true even in the wait. In the middle, between the promises and the fulfillment.
In my case, those that have known me for a large part of my life, know I would never naturally make the choices that I have these past 5 years. I would never move from my family or California and stay in a place just because. There are many steps of obedience that I have and continue to take, that confirms it must be God. If the evidence of my faith journey alone doesn’t convince you, then nothing will, except seeing it to believe it. Where is the faith in that
I was asking the Lord, why do solid Christians go to bible studies and worship you yet have trouble believing that you are that same God today They believe in a book full of miracles and of you performing the impossible, yet are on the fence when it hits home.
I was reading John 4, where Jesus heals the official’s son. The official came to Him pleading for Jesus to heal His boy. Frustrated Jesus responds, Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.
“Go, your son will live.” The man took Jesus at His word and departed. He believed that His son was healed before seeing any proof. Simply because the miracle worker spoke it was so. While he was still on the way, His servants met Him with the news that His boy was living. The Holy Spirit ministered to me saying,
My own followers and disciples didn’t believe in the impossible even though they could touch me and witnessed my miracles. It is the same today. I have given you the gift of faith and through your life I will show them my wonders.”
We must boost our faith in the impossible. We serve a God that continues to resurrect the dead. Makes all things new and He is still the miracle worker. Amen that Jesus is alive and well!
