THIS HOLY LAND

I’m in Israel now experiencing an awesome holy land study tour. Even though this is my third trip, every experience has been so different. So far with only a few days in, there have been some unforgettable moments. Today we experienced the region of Capernaum, Sea of Galilee & Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus performed 90% of His miracles.

While at the Jordan River and reading our bible of its significance, at the same time there were behind us groups from different cultures being baptized. I will never forget being baptized there myself by my mom during our 2010 trip.

Earlier that day we come to the Ziziphus Tree, with branches full of long, brutal thorns. The same ones they used as the crown of thorns piercing our beloved Jesus. I took a branch as a constant reminder of His great sacrifice and love for me.

Every step of the way has been so powerful, as the bible comes to life. We stand in the very spot of the stories we grew up knowing, we are reading each verse! The whole foundation of our faith ties to this sacred land.

Every believer should visit Israel once in their life. It will change how you read the bible and deepen your relationship with Jesus. More to come!
