As humans we all desire to be loved. We spend years of our lives looking, waiting and hoping to receive love from others that will satisfy. We yearn for fulfillment from imperfect people. But the fact is, broken humans will always disappoint. Yet, there is one true source that never fails. There is no greater love like the one Jesus provides. He is literally the definition of love.
Perfect Love
We serve a God that satisfies, heals, provides, delivers, protects and he leads better than any other. He gives us undivided attention but often, he is not the one we are chasing.

True Love
We have all missed the mark when it comes to God’s standard of love. The definition of love has been twisted in our “all about me” culture. The well known “love” chapter in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13 tells us:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
The Lord who is the true lover of our souls, is patiently waiting for us to choose him first. He alone provides that deep and satisfying love that we all crave. You see, he intentionally created each and every one of us with a God shaped void that only he can fill. No lesser, temporary feeling will do.
True love is a God who adored humanity so much, despite their wicked, sinful, and selfish deeds, that He sent His own perfect son, a part of Himself, to die for this hopelessly broken world. Offering the only repair humanity will ever know. There is no greater love.
Jesus is better than a earthly husband, wife, best friend or family member.
He wants to overwhelm you with his love my friends. He’s just waiting on you to stop, remove distractions and turn your gaze to him.
All His Love, Leah
Amen 🙏. Thank You Jesus for loving me.
